Theories on employment guarantee schemes?

I am trying to study the impact of employment guarantee scheme on unemployment in a village. I will be studying its impact on incomes, agricultural wage rates, wage employment, migration etc. Please tell me if there are any economic theories that pertain to my study. Thanks.
