Wireless speed can't get any faster?

We have fiber to the curb DSL at 10 mbp/s and using a Cisco Wireless N router everything in the house tops out around 5 mbp/s download and upload which is marginal for streaming video (buffer, buffer, buffer!!!) Any suggestions? Going to cable?
